Snake in the Grass

What a gorgeous day it was Friday! Well, after we got over the little frost in the morning. Not a cloud in the sky and around 60 F. Perfect day for a romp at 1000 Acres.

There was still a LOT of water and you know how I can’t resist mud-puddling. The Sandy River is really high and a lot of that excess water has to go somewhere before it gets to the Columbia. All the more for MEEEEE. Except Mom won’t let me go to the actual river–she said somebody has to have some sense. So, we mainly stuck to the ponds and mud puddles again. That’s OK. I know we’ll get there this summer!!

But, I have to tell you what I found! This wiggly thing zipping along on the grass. See…..

Mom said “LEAVE IT”. Well I did. Sorta. I left it. I didn’t put it in my mouth. It went somewhere under all that grass stuff, so I decided I should just roll on that spot. See, I know “LEAVE IT”!!Toby loves 1000 Acres too, except he doesn’t like water. He doesn’t run like some crazy teenager he knows either, but that doesn’t matter. See how happy he is? We were both tired, tired, tired coming home. I was so tired that I took a nap on Toby’s back. He didn’t care. He’s my big brother! I think he was tired too!But we aren’t too tired to go to the Saturday Blog Hop! See you there and I promise I won’t have any wiggly things with me!!

PeeEss: Mom said to tell you it was just a little baby garter snake. They like to play out there too…along with mice and toads and even coyotes!! We even saw a hawk today. AND a horse–with a person on it. What’s up with that???

Playing is HARD Work!

I have two favorite dog parks–1000 Acres and Fido’s. Fido’s is an indoor dog park and Mom thinks it’s tops in her book when it’s rainy and wet. And when I need to exercise. And when we need to play ball. And when I want to wrestle and run and not get all wet and muddy……

I have lots of friends at Fido’s and these two are ready for fun. And so am I!!

This is Otis–let’s romp.

The dance.

And the cool down. They have these big, ol’ air movers that’s like being in a wind tunnel (well, sorta). Next to water, it’s my choice for a cool down! Speaking of water, 1000 Acres is my absolute favorite outdoor place to go. Who couldn’t love it–we are on our way out there later today. Guess you know what’s coming!
