When I get in the car with my BFFs Macy & Toby II, I KNOW something good is going to happen. And it did! Off to the beach we went…this time to Seaside, Oregon. It is supposed to be the last cool day before a heat wave hits this weekend (yes, it does happen here
), and we wanted to take full advantage of it!
Little did we know the annual seagull convention was taking place on the north end of the beach. Attendance was in the thousands and they were noisily debating an issue…probably who gets the best fish for dinner that night. They took off at one point (I think to move to another convention seminar), but Mom couldn’t figure out how to do a panorama shot to show you how many there really were. You just have to imagine a sky full.
Anyhow, I was bored with the whole subject and left mid-talk. I really didn’t want to hear one more theory on the proper way to snag a fish from some hot-aired gull.
Instead, I tried to see whether I could meet or beat my best mud-wallowing moments
with some sand-wallowing.
I was happy with it, but by the time we got back to the car, all that sand was gone. What’s up with that???

That’s a lot of seagulls!
I think you may have beat your mud wallowing but does it count if it doesn’t stick
Wheeee – look at Sage go!!!! MUD!!!!!!!
Hope Mom was wearing a hat with all those seagulls overhead:) BOL Ours is sure they would have hit the target right on the top of her head.
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
You look like you’re having a blast! Kuster has serious beach envy right now!
Bunny
Wow! That’s a lot of seagulls!! You are the queen of mud! Very impressive!! Looks like you had a great day
Wow, I like mud but I’ve never been THAT muddy before BOL. Looks fab!! Nice on Sage
Glad you got to enjoy the sun, sand, mud and the view before the heat hit. We have been getting a lot of heat here too!!!
Guess you’ll just have to try that sand thing again next time. Practice makes perfect!
Doggy Kisses,
Tanner
Now that’s what I call some muddy fun fur sure Sage!
What fun! But I cry to see your glorious tail all sandy. I’m sure it was soon set to rights.
How on EARTH did you make all the sand go away? ROCK ON!
Lots of shakin’! Of course, Mom had to get her hand into it too….
Now that looks like it was a lot of fun! WAnt to have some fun? Throw one of those Seagulls a treat and watch hundred of them fly in and then scream all together for a treat… it is deafening and unelievable! LOL WHat a beautiful place!
Tee Hee Sage, that’s funny!!
I can see you had better things to do though than attend the conference!!
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy
Sounds like Seaside was a blast, even though sand doesn’t have quite the sticking power as mud. Hopefully, that means you were saved from the dreaded bath when you got home!
I can say without hesitation that you have beaten your best mud-wallowing moments Sage! I love the pictures!
Oh, my goodness sweet Sage, you were in mud heaven. lol Now that was serious mud rolling and enjoying for sure. Have you ever thought of doing some mud wrestling? lol Hugs and nose kisses
Just love all your beach pics and stories. I wish we lived closer — we have so much in common ! Beach and tennis balls ! (I dont currently do mud, but I am sure I would join you!.) BearHUG!
