The Battle has Begun

Sir Pantsalot here. Just wanted to let you know the battle with my dragon has begun. Training has been non-stop. First, I had to learn how to sling that sword around. That was a little hard for a four-legger, let me tell you. Then, would you believe it, my special vet said I had to learn to ride a mighty steed. Pshew, I never knew it was so hard, but I’m getting the hang of it! Maybe if I’d sling that left front leg over to the other side…..

My sword has been sprinkled with magic potion and I’m in full fight mode, slowly moving towards the dragon’s lair.

I’ve thought and thought about this dragon, because I don’t know what to expect. This dragon could be goofy and easy to slay–

or mean and scary–which means I could be in the fight of my life.

But, I have a secret weapon (don’t tell anyone–it might get back to the dragon). It’s SAGE! She said that nasty old dragon wasn’t going to get the best of me and that was that!! She’s a feisty one, that’s for sure.

Note from Mom: Toby started treatment for Cushing’s Disease a couple of days ago. So far, so good. The vet is in constant contact, but doesn’t expect much change for a couple more days. Fortunately, Toby hasn’t shown any un-welcome symptoms at this point.

  5. Vof Toby, my friend! I wish you all the best with the therapy! I’m wearing a big plastic collar and having ‘therapy’ (two holes) in my ear – yagh! We shall be FINE!

  10. Hope the treatments brings good health to Toby soon. Cushings is a nasty disease but it can be managed quite well for many dogs.

    Toby has lots of people pulling for him–me included. Good luck. And don’t worry too much.

  11. You have my support Toby! With Sage’s help I know you will defeat that rotten dragon! The trick with dragons is that they are slow and dumb! But you’re a valiant strong dawgins. I know you can defeat it. I’ll put on my armor and help you out buddy! Just remember everybody is cheering for you and NOBODY is cheering for that dumb old dragon! Keep the faith brother dog!

  19. Toby, you are a real warrior – hang in there, and Sage, we are so proud of you for coming to your brother’s aid. If you are getting Lysodren, Toby, it may take some time to find just the right dose. But when you do, it can really do lots of good. Good luck.

  24. Toby, with your training and Sage and Mom at your side and your special vet backing you up, that dragon’s going to be running scared! Just take things a little a time and along the way, more photos of you and your steed, please!
