Pool Play & Liebster Award

You probably won’t believe this, but I won’t (yes, won’t) get in the pool at Fido’s and swim. Rivers? YES Lakes? YES Fido’s pool? NO NO NO There are some things I just don’t like to do, and this is one of them. BUT, I do like to get into the doggy dock and get wet. That accounts for something, don’t you think?

My latest game is to get the float toy. Mom throws it and she *thinks* I might go all the way in to get it, but I figured out a way around it. See, I’m using my head! Well, my brain. There’s a cord attached to the float thingee and I figured out that’s what I need to do. Grab that cord and pull it in! Works every time. Pretty simple, huh?

My pals over at Chancy, Mumsy and Crew and Cedes of Change awarded us with the Liebster Award! We are very honored and thank you for thinking of us.

Now, you may be wondering what the Liebster Blog Award is. It originated in Germany and recognizes up-and-coming bloggers. It is meant to showcase those who have fewer than 200 followers. (Liebster means “favorite” or “dearest” in German.) This is done in the spirit of pay-it-forward.

In order to accept the award, we must do the following:
1. Copy and paste the award on our blog
2. Link back to the blogger who gave us the award
3. Pick our five favorite blogs with less than 200 followers, and leave a comment on their blog to let them know they have received the award.
4. Hope that the five blogs chosen will keep spreading the love and pass it on to five more blogs
The blogs I am passing this award on to are:
Bermtopia – A recent find about a confirmed winterphobe (Ben) set in the hinterlands of eastern Washington.
Opie’s Mom’s Blog – Opie is one of my very first blog furiends and we love his zany and fun posts!
Married with Dogs – Another recent find about three cute dogs named Maggie, Sadie and Hurley and all their fun times living in North Portland.
A Gardener’s Diary – A delightful blog about Rob’s life as a gardener to a large estate and his two dogs, Tess and Tommy.
Greyhound Gardens – The greyhounds of Itsa Greyt Day have some great stories to tell and seem to have as many adventures as Sage!

  1. I totally beleef you, Sage. Muddy waters = GOOD! Pool waters = GROSS EWWWWWWW! And you knows wot, we know eggzaktly wot we is doing. The boy tested different kinds of waters fur his science fair project once. He used tap water (wot is in the icky pool), river water (the kind we like), melted snow, rain, and I cannot rememmer wot else. Anyways, the water wot tested the bestest woz, and we alreddy know this ansswer – RIVER WATER! His conclushun woz coz even though it looks dirty and muddy to hoomans, it has a biological filter wot cleans out some icky stuffs. Clear pool water has no biological filter so it can has more icky stuff in it wot you cannot see. See how smart we dogs is to know wot water be the bestest?
