Puddles, Puddles Everywhere

It’s been raining quite a lot here lately, but yesterday turned out pretty nice, so off we went to 1000 Acres (I was due for a bath anyway). We met my buds, Caly and Tucker, and found another new furiend named Bradley just waiting for some fun. Bradley is a cute, cute Cockapoo and was all into running with us.

You know, when we first get there, we have to work off some steam and build up a sweat.  It always turns into some bitey face, but I know these guys, so caution is gone with the wind! Mom took a little movie of us….she needs to bone up on her movie making skills, but you’ll get the idea!
So, I know what you’re thinking….mud, mud, glorious mud….all just waiting for my arrival. Well, guess what? It rained so much that the mud was all hidden under a whole bunch of puddles. BIG puddles. So, what do you do? Or, maybe it’s: “What do I do?

Sit and ponder what to do next. Tucker was giving me some ideas and Bradley was ready to start running.

We decided a little more bitey face was in order.

We were getting with it and Bradley was taking it all in. He was ready to get a move on! “Come on, let’s run some more, guys!”

So, we did. It was a good day for running and Bradley kept up with us..I was impressed!

There were an awful lot of holes around. I tried to figure out what was down them, but nothing popped out. Probably a good thing, huh? We did see some little garter snakes and lots and lots of puddles.

All I could manage, though, was getting wet. I guess the mud will have to wait ’til another day!

  1. So I have a funny 1000 acres story. We were there a couple weeks ago and I was walking around smelling poo the entire time. Man, I thought, maybe we shouldn’t come back here if there’s that much poo odor in the air. When we got back to the car, I realized that the poo I was smelling the entire time came from OUR poo bag that I had tucked into an outside pocket of the dogs’ gear bag. I’m an idiot sometimes but still love 1000 acres.

  2. You four look like a great matchup – such fun you had running together. Nothing wrong with puddles, Ciara and Lightning would like that almost as much as mud.

  4. I love your video and all your friends. You really have a great bunch of friends, Sage. Looks like you had such a great time. You have an awfully nice mom to let you get so dirty all the time and not complain about it. I know it’s fun for you.

  5. What a fabulous video! And photos, too. I’ve almost forgotten what it looks like to see dogs together having so much (unencumbered) fun! Yeah, mud and puddles are a bit we humans have to deal with but surely it’s worth it to see that much joy. 🙂

  6. I woke my mom up (chasing the cat off the bed) so she thought she’d read some of your blogs and she squealed out loud when she saw my “behind” in the photo with you! She was pretty sure your mom had got some pictures of us together that day we met (gosh, that was my FAVORITE day at 1000 acres!!!)
We have been there since many times looking everywhere for you…even at that “lake” you showed me ..mom says she needs to call your mom to find out when you are going.
Every since that first day you showed me how fun the mud is–I have been making sure I walk through the puddles!! (mom gets really mad….I like how your mom responds better)
Anyway…miss seeing ya around…maybe I’ll see ya next week after it rains this weekend!!
Thanks for lettin me play with ya…I haven’t found any one quite like you and live reading about your “adventures”!!! You’re a SWELL writer!!!
With care, Bentley (think you remember me as Bradley!…)
