Mom has taken me to agility lessons for the past 4 years and, let me tell you, I love, love, love it! And nature offers so many opportunities to practice:
Jumping
Leaping into trees (hmmm…sorta like the Table or A-Frame)
Or parts of trees 😀
Walking on logs (aka the Dog Walk)
I do a lot of that—in any weather!
Or going through tunnels
Well, maybe not this one….
These are just a few of the obstacles I’ve found. What about you?
One of my favoritest things to do, well, besides mud, of course, is to go to my weekly agility lesson. Do you ever get excited when you know you’re going someplace fun? Well, today, I got so excited while driving there I yipped a couple of times and licked Mom in the ear–twice! Mom said I was acting like a little kid–all bouncy and couldn’t wait to get there.
Sammie sits next to me while our Moms walk the course. We do a little smoochin’, but don’t tell Mom! She might have taken a picture and I would have been sooooooo embarrassed. 😉 We have to wait before going into the arena–always a good time to catch up.
And we had a VERY rare moment where we both were allowed to be together on the course–our instructor has a very strict no-fraternization rule, but she knows how much we like each other…
The we got down to it! I was a blur, but you get the idea. 
And Sammie was there cheering me on.
His turn was next…
While I was at Fido’s, I perfected my jumping. There are a couple of places where this can happen: half walls into the small dog park and some of the interior doors open at the top.
What’s that, Mom? They’re Dutch doors? You must be crazy–they don’t look very Dutch to me. WHATEVER!! I’m telling this story, so I’ll call them what I want….(Mom just said I sounded like a bratty teenager. Well, what does she think I am? A dog????)
So, I jump these DUTCH doors and the half wall with no problem. They partially shut the top portion of the DUTCH doors, but I was smarter than they were! I figured out how to pull it open. Then they shut the DUTCH doors all the way. Meanies…… This is a bad picture of me coming off the wall, but you get the idea.
Mom said I was going to start agility this month! If I can jump, I think I’ll like it!!
