A Ringside Seat

On cold days, like it’s been this week, it seems like outside fun slows waaaaaaay down and Mom has to dream up inside fun.

Is this for me?

Me? I just dream of warmer days, mud and lots of ball playing.

That didn’t last long. Is there more?

I’ve never had bison jerky before….

 Then on to one of my favorite food groups: PEANUT BUTTER!All while the kitties watched.

This is the most entertainment we’ve had lately!

And watched.

And speaking of kitties…my buddy Binky over at Angels Whisper nominated me for the Blog of 2013 Award!

 I was so impressed that it made me want to do a happy dance!Thanks Binky and Granny!

Wow! I’m Honored!!

Blogging has been so much fun and since those kitties allowed me office space in their my condo, I can work when I need to on the next one! And now I can thank 24 Paws of Love for honoring me with another award.

The rules that came with this award are the following:

Hmmm. 10 things about ME? That sounds pretty easy.

• I love water. I love water. I love water.
• I’m a Border Collie-Kelpie mix. At least that’s what Mom & Dad think. I think so too.
• I need a job and I’m sending out resumes. They all say I’m still too young.
• I was sued by the kitties because I took over the condo level in the cat tree. And I WON!!
• Mystic likes me now. Well, sorta…
• Sometimes Mom gives me something new, like a bully stick. I hide under the desk, but watch Toby. If he likes it, then it’s OK!
• I’m trying to dig my way to Croatia so I can sit on the beach with Mom & Dad in a couple of weeks. Mom says I don’t have enough time….
• I love school! It’s hard work, but I get lots of treats. Mom is taking me to Reed College so I can get my proficiency in recall.
• I help Mom garden and found all these balls she had buried. She said they were onions……..
• I’m going to have my picture taken today. I wonder if I can sit still long enough?

That wasn’t too bad, was it? I’m suppose to pass this along to only 15 of my blog friends. I wish I could give it to everyone!!!

Me? Strange?

Wow! I just got an award. Why, you ask? For being strange. Who, me? Little ol’ Moi’? Ok, maybe a little…

Many thanks to I Still Want More Puppies for this award. Bella says she licks everything to identify it (including a goose), and feels a kinship with any dog who will lick a mop. That’s pretty funny, and maybe a bit strange.

So, you ask, why is there a “strange” award? Pretty strange, huh? Well, I found out that there’s a book by Cate Gardner coming out in October with the same name as the award (Strange Men in Pinstripe Suits)!  AND she has a contest where you might win an award! And not just the Strange Men in Pinstripe Suits award. Exciting, isn’t it? You can check it out here: Strange Men in Pinstripe Suits. I wonder if Mom will read it to me?

Anyway, now I get to share the award with some of my blogging friends (and strangers – strangers are always allowed) by nominating their blogs. I decided to go on a word quest so I could see what other words were like strange. I asked Mom “What is a synonym?” (pretty big word for a 9-month old puppy, don’t you think?) She said it’s another way of saying a particular word. Did you know strange can be “remarkable”, “exceptional”, “fantastic”, “wonderful”, “extraordinary”, “astonishing”, “mystifying”? That’s how I think of the word, anyhow. Just so you know…..

These are the “rules” (that means, what you’ve gotta do after you get the award):

• Add the logo of the award to your post.
• Include a link to the person (or dog) who gave the award to you.  Ta-dah….drumroll, please: I Still Want More Puppies!
• Nominate seven blogs that are also exceptional, and explain why the recipient deserves the award.  (I have so many blog friends that I think are exceptional and remarkable, that this is going to be HARD).  I wish I could nominate everyone, but you might get tired and go to sleep reading this post!
