My Newest Fascination

Our new neighbor has these strange critters hanging out in her yard.I am mesmerized to the point of fascination. I can’t move. And I watch…and watch.

It seems like these critters are always sniffin’ the ground—kinda like I do. But they aren’t fellow dogs. What are they? They aren’t like those flying things Mom calls birds. They sure don’t yell CAW CAW at me. In fact, they aren’t even paying attention to me? What’s up with that?

I wonder if we can be friends? Do you think they like to play ball? What’s that Mom? I have to just watch them? I could do that for hours!

  1. Be careful, Sage, cuz those things are really easy to catch, and the neighbors aren’t always nice about that. Just sayin’. Not like I’d know or anything…

  2. Vof Sage – those look exiting! I had once some of those but really colourful in the next field. They didn’t care what I did so I didn’t mind either about their business. Sheeps are better neighbours.

  3. No Muddy Monday this week? I guess the Oregon summer is finally hitting, but I’m sure if you look, you’ll be able to find some still!

Portland, OR is famous for starting the annual chicken coop tour, and considered one of the most chicken friendly cities in the country. I think its pretty darn cool. Just hope your neighbor doesn’t get a goat!

  5. Sage, you have bigger birds than we do. If we had those kind we would be catching and eatin’ them. You sure are a good girl just sittin’ and watchin’ them. Hugs and nose kisses
