I still get to play! My Uncle M and Aunt V took me out to 1000 Acres last weekend. We hopped into the Sagemobile and off we went…M knows how much I love it out there.
I was on my bestest of all behavior…I know M can throw a mean ball!
I met some new friends
They didn’t like the water quite as much as I do, but, that’s OK. I had my ball!
There was a point somewhere in our adventure where the urge to dig took hold. I just don’t know what comes over me sometimes, but dig I did. In a mud-puddle. And I couldn’t hear Uncle M telling me to stop. Somehow, my hearing gets turned off when I’m concentrating really, really hard on a job like that. I guess he thought I’d get out and chase that ball, but digging is one of those things that you just gotta do sometimes. Do you ever feel that way? Well, I guess I was in trouble because I didn’t listen. Oops…
Or maybe it’s because I went right back in and started digging again. I guess that’s why Uncle M put me on the leash….
I try really, really hard to be good when Mom is gone, but sometimes when she gets back I have to let her know what I think about it. So, when she took me to agility yesterday, I decided not to listen. Fixed her!!
I can’t quite figure out why, but I just don’t get away with it with anyone. Mom calls it ‘acting out’. Do you ever do that when your Mom or Dad is gone?
Personally, I act out as often as possible 😀 I’m right with you on that Sage. Guess you’re not the best at multitasking – no digging and listening at the same time

My fur babies are almost too old to act out. Unless you count being on the furniture acting out. Those giant puddles look like fun!

Glad your mom is home though, I bet it’s hard to be apart.

That looks like great fun. It would take a great deal of restraint to behave.

OH Safe I miss Zoie so and then I read your blog and I think well it isn’t so bad that I don’t have her any more. No big holes in the yard. Don’t have to walk her 5 times a day. Don’t have to get up so early!!! I miss her love she gave me tho so much!!!!

Oh man, 1000 acres looks like a blast! Glad you got the chance to romp and get dirty. Eko used to show his displeasure by eating shoes when I was out, but luckily he outgrew that phase (finally). On occasion he will still move my shoes/garbage around but luckily he doesn’t eat anything.

It sure looks like a fun time, not acting required!

Sounds like a great adventure! You would get along with my Lab well. He loses his hearing when he’s digging in mud too. 🙂

I’m not going to lie, sometimes I do act out. Usually, it’s a protest poop on the floor when Mom and Dad go out and take another dog while leaving me at home.

Sounds to us like you were just being yourself…a dog. We kitties don’t listen either. The humans just got to get over themselves. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

Hi Sage! I dig and dig sometimes in my litter box. The peeps don’t like it when I kick litter all over but like you said, I gotta do what I gotta do. Looks like you had fun.

You’re really lucky to have an Uncle M and Aunt V. I wouldn’t upset them too much or they might decide to go play in the muddy puddles without you 🙂

You have to act out to keep your human parents in line, I do as well. Great job there in the mud and stuff, looks like my kind of fun!

What a lovely muddy place to play!
Sometimes I get super excited when I’m out with mummy AND daddy so I show off a little – whoops!
I also become suddenly deaf when I’m focused on something I’m enjoying!
